Introduction

Nap'Sack ("we", "our", or "the app") is a puzzle adventure game. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

We collect the following data to provide the game experience:

• Player ID: A randomly generated unique identifier (UUID) stored locally on your device. You can play the game entirely anonymously using only this ID.
• Account information (optional): If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and an optional username. This allows you to link your progress across devices and appear on leaderboards with a display name.
• Game progress: Puzzle attempts, solutions submitted, scores, stars earned, attempt counts, and timestamps are stored locally and synced to our servers for leaderboard and progression features.
• Gameplay interactions: We record the sequence of tile selections you make during each puzzle (which items you tapped and in what order) to improve puzzle design and detect anomalies.
• Time data: Time spent solving each puzzle and session durations are recorded for leaderboard rankings and game balancing.
• In-game purchases: Records of characters purchased using in-game stars (no real money is involved).

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your location data.
• We do not collect photos, contacts, or any personal files.
• We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
• We do not process any real-money payments or financial information.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide game functionality: saving progress, computing scores, and awarding stars.
• To power leaderboards: your anonymized player ID (or username, if set) and scores are visible to other players.
• To improve the game: aggregated gameplay data helps us balance puzzle difficulty.
• To enable cross-device play: if you create an account, your progress can be synced across devices.

Leaderboards

If you participate in the Daily Quiz or global leaderboards, your player ID or username (if set) and scores will be publicly visible to other players. You can play without setting a username to remain anonymous on leaderboards.

Notifications

The app may request permission to send local notifications to remind you about the daily puzzle. This is entirely optional, and you can disable notifications at any time through your device settings. No data is shared with third parties through notifications.

Data Storage and Security

Game data is stored locally on your device using a SQLite database. When you are online, your game progress is synced to our servers to enable leaderboard and cross-device features. Our servers are hosted in Europe and we use HTTPS encryption for all data transfers. Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text.

Data Retention

Game data is retained for as long as your player account exists. When you reset progress in an arena, previous attempts are soft-deleted but may be retained on our servers for game balancing purposes.

Third-Party Services

The app may use the platform's built-in in-app review system to ask for feedback. No personal data is shared through this feature beyond what the platform (Apple/Google) handles natively.

Children's Privacy

Nap'Sack is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond the game data described above. Since account creation is optional and the game can be played fully anonymously, no special parental consent is required for anonymous play.

Data Deletion

You can delete all local data by uninstalling the app. To request deletion of server-side data (including your account, game progress, and all associated records), please contact us at the address below.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
